Terms & Conditions – A2Z Removals

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by A2Z Removals and Packing. By booking with us, you agree to the following terms:

1. Minimum Charges

✓ There is a 1-hour minimum charge on all jobs.
✓ After the first hour, we charge our standard hourly rate plus fuel costs.

2. Arrival Times

✓ Arrival times are estimates and may vary due to driving conditions, weather, or delays outside our control.
✓ While we endeavour to be punctual, we cannot be held responsible for customer losses caused by unavoidable delays.

3. Insurance Cover

✓ We are insured for Public Liability (£5 million) and Goods in Transit (£30,000).
✓ Goods in Transit cover applies only to items while being moved: from within the property, into the van, during transit, and unloading at the destination property.
✓ Customers are advised to check their own home contents insurance, including cover at the new property.

4. Packing Responsibilities

✓ Customers are responsible for packing all items properly unless our packing service has been arranged in advance.
✓ We do not accept liability for damages caused by poor or insufficient packing.

5. Furniture Dismantling & Reassembly

✓ Customers are responsible for dismantling beds, units, and furniture before our arrival, unless agreed otherwise.
✓ Reassembly at the destination must also be pre-arranged with us.

6. Property Access & Fit

✓ Customers are responsible for ensuring that all items will fit into the new property.
✓ We are not insured to remove doors, windows, or make property alterations unless this has been fully agreed in advance.

✓ On the day we will try to facilitate your removal needs even if not agreed beforehand, as the customer always comes first.

7. Delays Caused by the Customer

✓ If customer actions or delays extend the move beyond the quoted or estimated time, extra costs will be added to the final bill.

8. Deposits & Cancellations

✓ A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking (based on the estimated or quoted cost).
✓ If a booking is cancelled or changed within 24 hours of the scheduled date, the full balance will be charged due to costs already allocated (staff, vehicles, and time).
✓ In exceptional circumstances, we may consider waiving or reducing cancellation charges at our discretion.

9. Quotations

✓ Quotes are provided based on factors including vehicle type, mileage, staffing, and allocated time.
✓ Quotes assume no unforeseen delays. If property purchase completion is delayed or keys are not released, additional staff costs may apply.

✓ When we prequote a price this will be seperate to charges such as waiting times.

✓ Emergency removal call-outs will be estimated at a higher price due to the shorter notice.

10. Waiting Time

✓ A waiting time levy of £70 per hour may be charged where delays occur beyond our control, applied within reason.

11. General Liability

✓ We are not liable for loss or damage to items caused by poor packing, restricted access, or circumstances outside our control.
✓ We reserve the right to refuse moving items that may pose safety risks or are unsuitable for transport.
